Quantum Web is now called Quantum Network & Promotions.
PLEASE SEE THE LATEST POST - THIS IS OLD NEWS.
I first heard of this last night, but this morning it is finally verified. Quantum Web Solutions are now in liquidation! What a surprise this is?… not.
http://companycheck.co.uk/company/07156820
So I wonder if the company is going to shut up shop, re-invent itself or get bought out by another company? I wouldn’t hold your breath for the first or last… But I would hope they just give up and decide not to operate anymore as they’re a hindrance to society!
My thoughts go out to all the clients past and present that have fallen to hardship thanks to Quantum Web Solutions, and I urge them to move their websites from Quantum’s grasps and host their sites with another hosting provider.
coincidently last night I was negotiating some freelance work with a client I met on a freelance website, and it turns out they used to be a client of Quantum Web and finally decided to sever their relationship because of quantum's lack of support and organisation.
Any clients of Quantum Web reading this? Please drop me a comment about your story (I’ll keep it private if you request).
And finally to those who have moved there website from Quantum, perhaps you’re looking for some freelancers for some changes/improvements to your site? I can offer such services… Contact me on my website or in the comments.

Hello there,
Lots of comments, lots of complaints and lots of issues still not sorted with these people.
I didnt know they had gone into liquidation !?!?!
Hey Brian, yeah I know of allot of unhappy clients, it's kinda messed up how this country is set-up in such a way as to protect these people. I regard them as con-artists who will do anything to get your money, they lie about there capabilities and capacity to do the work you require. Once they have your money they take anything FROM a year before even starting work on your site, and even then they will slowly chisel away at your original agreement so they don't have to spend development time on your product. It really angers me that… Read more »
Deano, Thats not a bad idea, wonder how many other unhappy customers are out there ??? Seems like you have an 'Axe to grind' also ??? I'm not technically minded and have no idea how and if this will affect our site at all or even if it will still work in the near future? I know they have left it in shite state with lots of issues still to be addressed and alot of customers calling us about courses that arent on because the dates they have put on there ( A software update, they said) are all incorrect.… Read more »
Hey Brian, yes lets say I have an 'Axe to grind', I used to work for Quantum - 9 months, and in that time I was more customer service than developer - Lets just say I helped out ALLOT of Quantum customers, and yes HELPED OUT as I used to work in my break times, and weekends in my own time to try and sort out clients problems. And in the end? I was chucked out like a piece of dirt. So I want to see that place go down and stay down. However just like you I don't know… Read more »
Oh any I would also consider taking the domain name off their hands, I have seen clients lose their domains to quantum who then just use them for redirects to their corporate site.
Hi, well this is a shock, just came accross this blog about Quantium web, can.t believe it. I paid a lot of money for my website and Domain name etc from them, what do i do now ? I can,t get back into my website to do anything ?seam to be loged out and nothing that i do seams to help me get back on my website to update etc . Can i sell my website/domain,even if i can,t get into it and if so how do i go about it,and what do i charge ?? I went with them as… Read more »
Hey Roslyn, sorry to hear about your trouble with them. However they have not gone yet and as far as I've been aware clients have not been affected, I'm not sure why you cannot access your admin panel, perhaps you should give them a call and ask them to fix it? In order to sell your website and/or domain you will have to do 2 things, get ownership of your domain (call them up and transfer it to somewhere like godaddy) and get FTP access to your web server (or even better ask them for FTP access and move your… Read more »
Hi Deano,

Hi Deano,
Would you be able to email me as i have had my site built by linesave / quantum. many Thanks Got many problems!!!!
deanbradleyreid@hotmail.co.uk
Hello again Deano, Now I'm really confused !! I had an email from Quantum web "management team" dated 17th April at 17:38hrs trying to sell products and offers to me. Are we sure they are in the liquidation stage as I THOUGHT companies were no longer allowed to trade whilst in the liquidation phase ??? This is looking more and more like a 'Rouge traders' email. I promtly replied saying, basically, thanks for the offer, but would much prefer time spent correcting the problems we STILL have with our site. I also asked why they were still sending out offers… Read more »
Thats really bad, well they have definitely liquidated as Quantum Web no longer exists and company house says they are. But a new company has taken over apparently called Quantum Network & Promotions.
And guess what, same owner, same staff, same building. How on earth are they getting away with it?
Deano,
Yes thats who the email is from....and guess who sent it ??
Ms Smith.....sure she used to work for Quantum Web ?
she did/does
We all need to complain to trading standards? and Rogue Traders.
Contact Crime Stoppers anyone who is concerned and would like some intervention:

Perhaps you could contact me too Deano?
Ah, Georgina Hobbs, THE georgina hobbs from Quantum Web, Quantum Network & Promotions ....or whatever they are calling their selves at the minute.............I take it someone in the office has Email facilities then ???? I'd love to contact you Georgina, you send me your number and I'll contact you. Send me your address and I'll visit you. I am due to visit the Midlands very shortly and I WILL be visiting the offices, just to see how your staff and management cope face to face as apposed to on the internet ! You have my details and would love ANY… Read more »
Hey Brian, are you sure your not mixing her up with someone else?
I have spoken to her and she seems legit...
Her website: http://www.georginahobbs.com/
Suggests she lives no where near where Quantum are based
Yeap. I only found out about Quantumweb liquidation last week when searching the web to wonder why their website no longer exists and why they have not contacted me or finished my webiste. The real dissapointing thing is that I paid in advance for an SEO program, which will never get delivered now. I fully understand and appreciate that they promise the world and can not deliver. I kept in constant contact with then, detailing exactly what I wanted and the changes I would like to get the website up and running and they still go it wrong. Over 16… Read more »
Their phone number is
+44(0) 1743 242 636 - Very small print at the bottom of their website
Had a call from Quantum Netorking and Promotions today, seemed very helpful on the phone. I ran through my idea and they were willing to help, although I did notice that an independent web developer review site had about 9 reviews left between 12 and 19th of March this year. Some thing seems a bit fishy if you ask me so Im probably going to hold fire for a while. Whats more worrying is that I told them my business idea, and hope they dont try to create a similar web site for their benefit! :-S
Hi, Looks like they have left me in a load if shite. I,m 3 years down the line and still not live. I,ve still got a bug in my system thats been there for 6 months and paid for upgrades that have,nt happened. What are my best options, to I get the FTP codes, cut my losses and take it somewhere else?. I was in the process of sending a 7 day letter till I saw the liquidation notice. Looking back it all fits into place. I went to the office some weeks ago to "sort it all out" with… Read more »
I also used to work for them - as Linesave and Quantum - glad I left when I did! It's all lies lie lies with them, empty promises and such a high turnover of staff. It's no wonder people are wary of purchasing websites with these cowboys in the industry. Even though they are selling websites for ridiculously low prices now - they STILL can't finish them on time! And the website "giveaway?" All to pay is an admin fee??? Sounds like they need some cash and quick to me...although I would be suprised if they could GIVE them away...
B - Hearing this kind of thing from everyone, it is disgusting... Stuart - Yes exactly what I would suggest, get the FTP details, move your site to somewhere where you can keep it safe and have control over it. What sort of problems have you got? Oh and when I was there (almost 2 years ago now) there were only 2 developers working on what they would call "linesave" work. However both the linesave and the quantum system are the SAME system, however the quantum one has had some improvements since linesave. Anyone could work on your site, it… Read more »
David Morris - I've not known of an instance where they have outright stole someone else's website idea. However, once they build you a 'custom' site they may re-sell that site idea but with different features/theme. So if you want your idea to stay original (and the site code) DONT GO WITH THEM.
However this really is the least of your concerns, judging from everyone else's comments (there are many more but I was asked to keep them private by the poster).
I'm quite shocked to be reading all this because I just went back to quantumweb.co.uk and the site is closed. To be honest they have been ok for me. They did everything I asked (even though it sometimes took a couple of weeks) But then again I wasn't a fussy customer i took the first design they made me. I dont know anything about anything so I hope they continue to host my site for at least the year that i have paid for - after which i might transfer to another server. I dont have any money at the… Read more »
It is nice to hear from someone who has had a good experience with Quantum, and your site looks pretty good :) I think your hosting is safe for the time being - they have setup as a new company named Quantum Network & Promotions, they should have contacted you about the change and the fact they have not yet is quite disturbing.
I was curious to see this link come up in Google, so I couldn't resist. Over the last few months going back to late last year, I have been discussing a website with Quantum Web Solutions, who offered me a fully bespoke tailored automatic document production website. I spent £31 +VAT to see what they could do. We were talking until only last month, when I expressed my concerns about the very underwhelming mock up they did for me. I was hustled into coming up with 50% of the agreed cost in order to enter the design process whereupon the… Read more »
In case it should be of some use, the "Ms Smith" is, to the best of my knowledge, a Ms Amy Smith. This person attempted to get me to hand over £750 only a couple of weeks ago. That's what I call prima facie a criminal offence in the curcumstances. Regarding the so-called new company, I have not heard from them, since Amy's stunt didn't work.
Hi, I am getting my website made with them as Quantum Web and now Quantum Network.
I read these reviews on this site:
http://www.whichwebdesigncompany.com/uk/profile/quantum-network-promotions
and all were pretty good so I don't know about past history as I heard they changed management.
Jason - What you have read is, I feel a small representation of a company with issues. Over a period of just over 2 years my site mostly works. During this period I dealt with 6 different programmers/designers. Some of the names here I recognise and I do appreciate they were only doing as told. From an MD's perspective I can clearly see why some of these problems will continue, including working conditions.
As a fellow ex-Quantum employee, I think "Jason" could well be an employee of Quantum Web/Network and Promotions - who has been tasked with responding to negative reviews on the internet with positive comments. How do I know this? Well, I was asked to clean up unpopular internet reviews during my time at Quantum. In some cases, I even had to delete directory listings on well-known directory websites, and then set them up again a short while later to give them a fresh start. Like Dean, I was initially scared to speak out about my experiences with Quantum, but I… Read more »
Jason - notice it says "Gold Member" near the company information on that site... Well Quantum are obviously paying for the privilege of good reviews and this is completely biased and the reviews are approved by Quantum - please do a proper search on Quantum and you will find many unbiased review sites with the information YOU SHOULD be looking at. BTW - not sure if you understand SEO Jason, but if you are Quantum - this is not helping you in the slightest, your link on here is not going to boost the PR of that page, thanks to… Read more »
Hi all, i have a few questions. What was the problems that everyone was facing?. I have very recently just brought a website package from them, so far they have been very professional and got my website desgined and ready for me in a very timly maner. The price was as well almost to good to be true but i am happy with the end result so far. Anything i should look out for or keep am eye on with them?
Thanks Dan
http://www.Linesave.co.uk ltd in liqudation, http://www.quantumweb.co.uk ltd is in liquidation and now closing and at the end of the month 30/6/12 jobs have been lost with 12 days notice. Owner is planning to take as much money as possible from customers before they close. They keep lying to customers and are so dishonest do not trust a single word. New company http://www.quantumnetworkandpromotions.co.uk is the new rip off venture. Please DO NOT use this company the owner is a conman everything is online do your reasearch. We have a good honest reason to add this comment but we dont want to be… Read more »

I have a website with Quantum at this present time. I have to agree with most there customer service is shocking and i still have faults on my live site.
My question is. Once i have the FTP access, how easy is it for another developer to rectify the faults and add to the current site?
Thanks
Hey All, This is very interesting..... I will withhold my comments until I can get some resolution from them. My website is hosted with them at the moment but thank God I am almost finished with a WordPress site for the business. The only thing is how can I get a copy of my website and how do I host it somewhere else? My understanding was the 'back end' was theirs. I have JUST emailed them and asked a for a copy of the website. Luckily, not too long ago I had moved the 'registrar' details over to another company.… Read more »
All I can say is aarrrrgghhhhhh! I've wasted 12 months and £5k. These tossers (excuse the language) are without doubt the worst company I have ever had contact with. The directors/owners should be named and shamed! Deano is it possible to finish off our website? I've been reading some of the responses you gave about moving the FTP to another server. I've tried contacting them for the last 2 days without success, what if I can't contact them? What happens then?
Possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with! 2 years and 15k later and I have a site which was built wrong! I have the front end of a horse and the back end of a donkey! The site looks great thanks to ex employees that were sadly forced out. I recently paid for an upgrade in March which wasn't done and they wanted over £1000 upfront..NO WAY! I gave half and I consider myself lucky to have lost that much! I only found out the other week that they went into liquidation and fumming they took my money… Read more »
Hey Jimmy,
Yes I remember working on your site a little before I left! Glad your all sorted, this is precisely the reason why I have started offering such services as hosting. There are so many people looking to either move, or have their site looked after because Quantum are just terrible. However I'm curious why you would recommend just going for someone that does hosting? What if you have scripting bugs or an unforeseen problem who do you turn to?
Hi Deano, I have no faith in developers like Quantum following my experience, so if in the future I find one I can trust I will of course retract my statement and say the opposite but I felt with Quantum my website was being held hostage, where as now I have FTP access, I can see the progress being made and when and can have whoever I want work on the site instead of having to pay Quantum to be the only ones to do the work. Please send me you details if you do some developing I have lots… Read more »
just found this thread looking for info on Quantum...
I've paid them £500 (quite a lot more to pay yet...) to do my website, they did an initial draft really quickly, took payment, asked for my changes - and then one of the designers contacted me for further info...since then nothing, and its been weeks...
My management team have been asking me over and over...and I've no answers, I've left them emails and messages and no one is getting back to me...
I have dealt with Russ Picken, Amy Smith and James Tidy.
Right company?
Am i fooked?
Hey Yasmin,
Well from what my understanding is. They have no development team since the start of this week, how are they going to complete your website? :s
It now appears - as of an hour or so ago, that all those hosted by QWS are totally screwed and offline, as it appears that Rackspace.com have taken the QWS servers off line. :-((
Hey Bill,
I've had a number of Quantum clients contact me this morning, from those that left a url to their site I can confirm that they was offline for some time, however now they appear to be back online!
Hi Dean,
We have had a site built by quantum just recently, i now cant access the cms to update. Do you have mobile numbers or contact details so i can get directly in touch with these arseholes?
Would you be able to assist us with getting our website over to another host and so i can get it on a system where i can update it?
Many Thanks
Chris
Hi Chris,
just updated my post to include a number you can call.
I could help, if you can get the source code from them?
Hi Guys I have found this forum and notice a few people in the same boat as me, i can't believe these criminals have done this, they called me on Friday to get final payment and i said no until my website was up and running, they were great up til the end and done all they said they would do at the time however the website never got finished, it wasn't live they were still working on it, and now i,m 2K down and going crazy. the cheek to call and ask for money the day before they go… Read more »
Hi my names Shakira I too recently have been using quantum web, i began the initial webpage in May so you can see it was a while after this post. I've had the same experience with paying the deposit of £1050. They sent me an initial design and made made the journey all the way up to shrewsbury to the main office. Last week i was contacted by a Lisa who informed me my webpage was done. i was a bit surprised as there was extra work i wanted added and but was told that it would be done after… Read more »
Thank you for taking the time to share your story with this blog, I can understand you are deeply upset right now and I can understand wanting to find a way to fix this. I would strongly advise contacting Rogue Traders with your story like many other clients have today, explain everything you have been through, especially the fact they are bugging you for money AFTER liquidation. Please reference them to this blog and include them in any contact details as I will be more than happy to help in any investigations that WILL be taking place if enough of… Read more »
Hi just read your post Shakira,i have called the police who are investigating it, but doesn,t look good, i called my bank straight away and as i paid over the phone with a debit card and quantum have not upheld there end of the bargain, i have to fill some forms in and correspondence with them and the bank say i should get my money back , fingers crossed not all lost, try calling your bank asap, i will find these guys, i also traveled in may to the head office and was also fooled, good luck let me know… Read more »
